Your wedding day is the kind of day a family talks about for fifty years. The quiet of the getting-ready room. The held breath before the doors open. The vows that took weeks to write and seconds to mean. The toast that makes the whole table cry.
We photograph traditional weddings with patience and taste, and a preference for the small moments that hold the big ones together. From the church and the country club to the vineyard and the seaside estate, we bring a fine art eye to a documentary day: we do not direct it, we follow it.
Our style blends documentary photography with fine art portraiture. This approach allows us to capture the day's authentic emotions as they unfold while providing you with timeless portraits.

FOR THE LONG VIEW
A traditional wedding deserves photographs that age as gracefully as it does. We compose for the long view: film-inspired tones, true-to-life skin, and editing that will not look dated when your daughter is the one in the dress.

The portraits are composed on purpose; everything else is photographed as it happens. One gallery holds both.

The best moments rarely come on schedule, so we plan for the whole day: getting ready, first look, ceremony, portraits, reception and send-off, with one team and one consistent eye.
Church, civil and interfaith ceremonies
Before the ceremony
Every ceremony has its own order and its own rules about where a photographer may stand and when the camera stays down. Before your wedding we walk through the service with you and, where the church asks, with your officiant, so on the day we know when to move, when to stay still and when not to lift the camera at all.
Two faiths in one ceremony, a friend officiating in a backyard, a courthouse at noon: we prepare for each the same way.

Documentary coverage with fine art portraits, edited in our warm, true-to-life palette and built for prints and walls, not just feeds. Several hundred fully edited photos from a full day.

A one-minute teaser within a month and a highlight film within three months, from the same team that photographs your day. Drone where the venue and airspace allow.

Engagement sessions
Optional, anywhere in our service area: at home, in the city, or somewhere that means something to the two of you.

FAQ
How is pricing handled?
We talk through coverage, film and albums on a complimentary 30-minute consultation and send a proposal afterwards. There is no price list on the site because every wedding is planned differently.
How many photographers come?
A lead photographer, and on most weddings a second photographer for the ceremony and reception. Larger weddings can add photographers and a film team.
Do you know our ceremony?
We prepare for each one. Before the wedding we go through the order of service and the house rules with you and, where needed, your officiant.
Do you travel?
Yes. We are based in Connecticut and work across New England, New York and New Jersey, and we travel for destination weddings.
When do we receive everything?
Around 100 highlight photos within a week of the wedding and the full gallery within three months. Film: a one-minute teaser within a month and the highlight film within three months.
Do you photograph small weddings and elopements?
Yes. Some of our favorite work is a dozen people on a bluff over the water. Twelve guests or two hundred, the care is the same.
